A collection illustrating the shades associated with this attractive high value and comprising Long Gash (13 including [9], [27], [29], [42], [44], [50] and perf. 15 [15] "King's extra eyebrow", RSC A and RSC E printings), Short Gash (13 including [2] "Gash in Queen's ear", [8], [20] and perf. 15 (4, one [27], RSC H and I printings) and Hook in Ear (43 with several pairs and a vertical strip of four, five perf. 15, many plated and with RSC F and G printings, "medal" marks and printer's marks), various cancelled with datestamps and dated perfins with a couple used as late as 1920.
