One Shilling
1912 (12 July) Natives Registration Ordinance for employment of a native for a period of two months, bearing a vertical pair cancelled by Registrar of Natives, Salisbury oval datestamp with a further strike at right; some creases though rare with only two other examples so far recorded, both dated in 1913

Note: In late 1910, the Native Labour Bureau was suffering from sever financial difficulties, which led to the introduction of a Native Tax in January 1912 with a Levy of 1/- per month for every African employed. All Natives employed had to be declared and registered on this special form. This had to be completed for every employee, every month, with a Postal Stamp for the right amount to be stuck on the declaration form, thus the Double Head stamp became a Labour Levy
