Plate 54 (close to large margins) with London "1" barred oval cancellation with brilliant too late/g.p.o.", on reverse Lombard St. Maltese Cross and framed Glasgow datestamps; filing fold through the Too Late marking; scarce. Also 1854 (4 Aug.) envelope to Dundee, from Pipe Major Stuart, 79th. Highlanders, franked 1d. Stars (3), on reverse"post office/british army" c.d.s. and green Dundee arrival; faults but an interesting Crimean War item
