Auction: 22117 - Spink Numismatic e-Circular 17: Part II - A Gentleman's Collection of Shillings, Sixpences and Maundy Coins - e-Auction
Lot: 1014

William III (1694-1702), 'High Hair' Shilling, 1701, fifth laureate, cuirassed and draped bust right, rev. four crowned shields cruciform, five strings to harp, six billets, obliquely milled edge, 6.01g, 6h (Pywell-Phillips 184; Bull 1155; ESC 1124; Spink 3516), a notably well-balanced and handsomely cabinet toned example, a softer strike to portrait high points, otherwise almost extremely fine, rare

Provenance
Reportedly ex Lord Hamilton, but evidently not the example illustated in the Spink 1979 Sale (lot 266)

Bull 1155 gives five strings to harp. One seems to be split, so depending on how you count them there could be five or six.
