William III (1694-1702), Chester Shilling, 1697, first laureate, cuirassed and draped bust right, C below, rev. no stops after MAG FRA HIB, four crowned shields cruciform, six strings to harp, eight billets, obliquely milled edge, 5.85g, 6h (Bull 1168 and 1172; ESC 1096; Spink 3499), some flecking down the king's neck and light adjustment marks on the French shield, otherwise steel grey tone with underlying lustre, almost extremely fine, rare, especially in this grade

Bull 1168 and 1172 describe the same coin. The lack of stops on the reverse is a common feature, though Bull makes no mention of it here.
