Victoria (1837-1901), Proof 'Gothic Crown', MDCCCXLVII [1847] UNDECIMO, by W Wyon, crowned 'Gothic' bust left, WW on truncation, rev. crowned shields cruciform, raised lettered edge downwards, 6h, 28.28g (L&S 57; ESC 288; Bull 2571; Spink 3883), light scratch to the cheek and a handful of faint hairline marks to the obverse field, the obverse edge with a couple of small bruises at 7 o'clock, otherwise richly and attractively toned to brilliant surfaces, extremely fine
