Auction: 22109 - The David Hoover Collection of Crowns: 1551-1953
Lot: 2130

(x) NGC PF61 | Victoria (1837-1901), Proof 'Jubilee' Crown, 1887, 'Jubilee' head left, rev. St George and Dragon, milled edge, 12h (Bull 2586; ESC 297; Spink 3921), somewhat bagmarked in subtly brilliant fields, a trace of peripheral tone, otherwise boldly struck, the portrait subtly cameo, a bold extremely fine, scarce, in NGC holder, conservatively graded PF61 (Cert. #4425355-001)

In the view of the present cataloguer, one of the best assigned '61's they have seen, being free of the usual suspicious hairlines found in these tiered holders, and instead presenting a natural and honest appearance usually befitting higher third party grades
