(x) NGC PF61 | Victoria (1837-1901), Proof 'Gothic Crown', MDCCCXLVII [1847] UNDECIMO, by W Wyon, crowned 'Gothic' bust left, WW on truncation, rev. crowned shields cruciform, raised lettered edge downwards, 6h (L&S 57; Bull 2571; ESC 288; Spink 3883), small conspicuous digs by A of GRATIA and the surfaces lightly wiped otherwise bright and residually lustrous with hints of darker tone in peripheries, the struck details near extremely fine / a bold very fine, the icon of the English Crown series and always intensely sought after in any grade, in NGC holder, generously graded PF61 (Cert. #2797603-001)
