(x) NGC AU58 | George II (1727-1760), 'Roses' Crown, 1741 DECIMO QVARTO, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust left, rev. crowned shields cruciform, roses in angles, eight strings to harp, lettered edge upwards, 6h (Pywell-Phillips 311; Bull 1666; ESC 123; Spink 3687), a scuff to Hanoverian shield, with hairlines from light cleaning and dipping to enhance original and full cartwheel lustre and remove natural patination since last auctioned, otherwise extremely fine, a most striking example, in NGC holder, graded AU58 (Cert. #4909934-001)
