(x) NGC AU Details | Charles II (1660-1685), Crown, 1670 VICESIMO SECUNDO, second laureate and draped bust right, rev. crowned shields cruciform, nine strings to harp, lettered edge downwards, 5h (Bull 380; ESC 40; Spink 3357), adjustment marks and scratches in fields, with a die flaw below bust, brazenly artificially retoned since last we offered for auction, nevertheless the struck details a superbly bold very fine, consequently desirable in spite of the numismatic subterfuge, in NGC holder, distractingly graded AU Details ~ Tooled (Cert. #5709663-001)
