(x) NGC MS61 | Commonwealth (1649-1660), Crown, 1656 over 4, Tower, (m.m.) • THE • COMMONWEALTH • OF • ENGLAND •, English shield within palm and laurel wreath, rev. • 1656 • GOD • WITH • VS, conjoined shields of England and Ireland, 1h, m.m. sun (Bull 11 [R2]; ESC 8; North 2719; Spink 3214), heavy flan adjustment marks to obverse shield and a flaw by value, the reverse peripheries tinged with die rust, otherwise lightly cabinet toned, with hints of residual flare, struck details a really bold very fine, in NGC holder, sympathetically graded MS61 (Cert. #2813281-005)
