IACOBVS D : G : MAG : BRI : FRAN : ET HIB : REX, D over E (?), King on horseback trotting right, grassy ground line below, rev. (m.m.) QVÆ DEVS CONIVNXIT NEMO SEPARET •, no stops in legend except after SEPARET, with T over mis-placed T, square-topped and lightly garnished shield, 9h, m.m. lis (FRC X/XVIII, lot 33; Boismason I, 2007; North 2120; Spink 2664), usual die flaw in reverse field and struck on a slightly irregular flan with roughness at 12 o'clock, otherwise honestly toned, very fine or very near so, scarce, the King's profile sharper than the Boismason, Graham and Perley-Storer examples, in NGC holder, graded XF45 (Cert. #2813500-003)
