(m.m.) • QVÆ • DEVS • CONIVNXIT • NEMO • SEPARET •, square-topped and lightly garnished shield, 29.59g, 8h, m.m. escallop (FRC VI/XI, lot 25; North 2097; Spink 2652), struck on a defective planchet with distracting stress marks and flecking to central devices, and old scratches in left obverse field, a trace of double-striking in legends, otherwise old cabinet tone, struck details fine, rare, in NGC holder, generously graded VF35 (Cert. #2853850-001)
