Lokris Opuntia, AR Stater, C.370-360BC, bust of Persephone left, wreathed with three wheat leaves and wearing a triple pendant earring and pearl necklace, rev Ajax advancing right, nude but for crested helmet, brandishing sword in right hand and shield decorated with a serpent in left, Round shield between legs, OPON-TION around, 12.01g, (S.2326 ; Delbridge Corpus Group 6 ; CF.70b ; BCD 18) In excellent condition, apart from the mis-strike on the nose of the bust, every strand of hair clear and sharp, slight pitting at 6:00 on reverse, and light porosity to fields, otherwise razor sharp.
