CENTENARY OF WESLEYAN METHODISM, 1839., 7 line inscription below, "GOD BURIES HIS WORKMEN, BUT CARRIES ON HIS WORK." below, 66mm, 134.64g; JOHN WESLEY, M.A. BORN AT EPWORTH, JUNE 17TH. 1703. DIED IN LONDON, MARCH 2ND. 1791., draped bust left, rev. CENTENARY OF WESLEYAN METHODISM, 1839., facade of Centenary Hall, "THE WORLD IS MY PARISH". below, 66mm, 129.24g, (Eimer 1329), the reverses lightly wiped, yet both with proof-like surfaces, the obverses darkly toned, good extremely fine, in original presentation case inscribed PRESENTED AS A TOKEN OF CHRISTIAN REPECT TO REVD.
