CS, otherwise a really bold very fine, very rare, especially with the unaltered date; 1851 (Bull 2999 [R2]; ESC 1298), cleaned and rubbed, scarcely good, but rare; 1852 (2) (Bull 3001; ESC 1299); 1853 (2) (Bull 3002; ESC 1300); 1854 over higher 4 (Bull 3005 [R4]; ESC 1302), rubbed and toned, strictly fine, almost very fine, very rare; 1855 (Bull 3006; ESC 1303); 1856 (2) (Bull 3007; ESC 1304); 1857 (2) (Bull 3008; ESC 1305); 1858 (8), five of regular date (Bull 3011; ESC 1306); and, 1858 over 6 (Bull 3012), cleaned and granular surfaces, near fine, rare; another, 1858 over 8 (Bull 3013 [R4]), harshly cleaned, fine / very fine, very rare according to Bull; also, 1858 over 9 (Bull 3014 [R4]), a field find, polished and granular with scuffing, otherwise good, very rare; and, 1859 (9), unaltered date (6) (Bull 3015; ESC 1307); and, 1859 over higher 9 (2) (Bull 3016 [R3]), both very poor but rare; and, 1859, 8 over lower 8 (Bull -), good, unlisted; 1860 (4) (Bull 3018; ESC 1308), no evidence of die sinker's errors in BRITANNIAR; 1861 (3) (Bull 3019; ESC 1309), mediocre to almost good; 1862 (2) (Bull 3021 [R2]; ESC 1310), both lightly cleaned, good to fine, both rare; lastly, 1863 (2) (Bull 3022 [R2]; ESC 1311; Spink 3904), these last two mediocre to scarcely good but rare dates; the collection an impression corpus of the Young Head Shilling series including key dates, mostly cleaned, some pitted or scuffed, generally rubbed, poor to fair, some better (72)
