George II (1727-1760), 'Roses and Plumes' Shillings, 1734-1737 (5), 1734, 3 over misplaced 3, no extra stop before DEI, young laureate, draped and cuirassed bust left, ties to T, rev. crowned shields cruciform, roses and plumes in angles, 5.70g, 6h (Bull 1706; ESC 1197), scuffed and drilled, toned, about good; another, 1735 over 34 [?], similar, ties to AT, rev. eight strings, six hearts, 5.90g, 6h (Bull 1707; ESC 1199), toned, a pleasing fine, the overdate unlisted but rather clear; also, 1736, similar, rev. seven strings, seven [?] hearts, 5.70g, 6h (Bull 1709; ESC 1199), rubbed, cleaned and toned, good / fair; another, 1736 over 5, similar, rev. ten strings, 5.96g, 6h (Bull 1710 [R2]; ESC 1199A), lightly toned and lustrous, a really good fine, the overdate clear and rare; also, 1737, similar, rev. eight strings, six hearts, 5.83g, 7h (Bull 1711; ESC 1200; Spink 3698), metal flaw on neck, rubbed and cleaned, otherwise good / fair; additionally, 'Roses' Shillings, 1739-1741 (3), 1739, similar, rev. roses in angles, eight harps, 5.80g, 6h (Bull 1715 [R4]; ESC 1201), rubbed, toned, good to fair, the die-sinker's error apparent but unclear; another, 1741 (2), as last, rev. smaller Garter star, seven strings, 5.80g, 7h, rubbed, toned, good; another, similar, rev. seven strings, 5.98g, 6h (Bull 1717; ESC 1202; Spink 3701), attempted piercing above head, otherwise lightly toned, struck details, almost very fin (8)
