George I (1714-1727), 'South Sea Company' Sixpences, 1723 (5), small lettering, laureate and draped bust right, rev. large lettering, crowned shields cruciform, SS-C in alternating angles, five strings to harp, edge obliquely milled, 2.97g, 6h; another, large lettering both sides, '3 over Rotated 3', six strings, 2.96g, 6h; another, large lettering both sides, '3 over Rotated 3', six strings, 3.01g, 6h; also, small lettering, rev. as first, seven strings, 2.96g, 5h; lastly, small lettering, rev. as last, five strings, 3.02g, 6h (Bull 1612, 1614; ESC 1600, 1601; Spink 3652), the fourth with an R inscribed into reverse field, others cleaned, most rubbed, fair to good fine, the third on a clipped planchet, otherwise lustrous, good very fine (5)
