George I (1714-1727), 'Roses and Plumes' Shillings (8), 1715, first laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. crowned shields cruciform, roses and plumes in angles, eight strings to harp, edge obliquely milled, 5.81g, 6h (Bull 1560; ESC 1162; Spink 3645), cleaned with some corrosion around the edges, otherwise fine / a bolder fine; another, 1716, similar, V over L in GEORGIVS [?], rev. eight strings, 5.56g, 5h (Bull 1562 [R3]; ESC 1163), polished, sweated and removed from mount, otherwise scratched, good / fair, a rare date; another, 1717, seven strings to harp, 5.57g, 5h (Bull 1564; ESC 1164), rubbed flat and cleaned, mediocre to good; 1719, seven strings, 5.73g, 5h (Bull 1567 [R2]; ESC 1166), rubbed flat, very poor, but rare; another, 1720, 'Large O', similar, rev. seven strings, 5.73g, 5h (Bull 1569 [R2]; ESC 1167A), heavily scratched and cleaned, about good, scarce; additionally, 1721 (2), 1721 over 0, seven strings, 5.94g, 6h (Bull 1578; ESC 1172), rubbed and toned, good fine, the overdate wonderfully clear; another, 1712 over 19 [or 18], nine strings, 5.90g, 5h (Bull 1579; ESC 1173), D P initials etched in obverse field, otherwise rubbed and toned, near fine / a bold fine; lastly, 1722, six strings, 6h (Bull 1581; ESC 1174; Spink 3645), rubbed, scuffed and porous from soil deposition, otherwise about good, scarce (8)
