George I (1714-1727), 'Roses and Plumes' Crown, 1718 over 6 QUINTO, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. crowned shields cruciform, roses and plumes in angles, eleven strings to harp, lettered edge upwards, 29.94g, 6h (Bull 1542; ESC 111A; Spink 3639), unsightly heavy adjustment by date on reverse and sporadic flecking in obverse field, otherwise a pleasingly fresh strike albeit with aged dies, a bolder extremely fine, a coin with many redeeming and appealing qualities
