William III (1694-1702), Great Recoinage, London, Sixpences, 1696 (12), first laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. crowned shields cruciform, early harp with three strings, eight billets, edge obliquely milled, 2.94g, 6h, rubbed, toned, fine; another, similar, three strings, eight billets, 2.83g, 6h, rubbed, toned, fair; and, three strings, eight billets, 2.79g, 6h, flawed, toned, fair, with collector's ticket suggesting '1696 over 5', but this inconclusive; another, three strings, eight billets, 2.73g, 6h, rubbed, brighter, fair; and three strings, eight billets, 2.50g, 6h, waterworn, poor; and, four strings, eight billets, 2.91g, 6h, rubbed, fair; lastly, three strings, 2.31g, 6h (Bull 1202, 1207 [?]; ESC 1533, 1534 [?]), also, E over second L in GVLIELMVS, rev. three strings, eight billets, 2.88g, 5h, toned, fair to almost fine, unlisted by Rayner or Bull; another, apparently exhibiting the same error, four strings, eight [?] billets, 2.89g, 6h (Bull -; ESC -), good to fair, the billets quite obliterated; and, G of GRA over D [?], three strings to harp, eight billets, 2.86g, 7h (Bull -; ESC -; Spink 3520), adjustment mark through French shield, otherwise toned, good fine; additionally, rev. no stops on reverse, large crowns, late harp with five strings, six [?] billets, 2.69g, 7h (Bull 1212 [R4]; ESC 1544; Spink 3527), a broad flan, waterworn and heavily circulated, the reverse variant however clear, mediocre to poor, but extremely rare; lastly, similar, rev. small crowns, late harp with five strings, six or seven billets, 2.87g, 6h (Bull 1213 [R3]; ESC 1545; Spink 3531), waterworn and rubbed, only fair but the variety very rare (12)
