William III (1694-1702), Shillings (7), 1698 (2), third bust variety, rev. six strings to harp, seven billets, 5.62g, 5h (Bull 1136; ESC 1112; Spink 3511), rubbed and rather flat, some adjustment marks across truncation, mediocre but very scarce; another, fourth 'flaming hair' bust, rev. six strings to harp, seven billets, 5.57g, 6h (Bull 1141; ESC 1115), crimped and fire damaged, otherwise darkly patinated, about good, scarce; additionally, 1699 (2), fourth 'flaming hair' bust, rev. five [?] strings to harp, 5.78g, 6h (Bull 1142; ESC 1116; Spink 3515), a nick by DEI, rubbed and worn, about good, rare<; also, fifth bust, rev. stop after HIB, five strings, six billets, 5.93g, 5h (Bull 1147; ESC 1117), an evident field find with scuff on Lion of Nassau and in fourth quarter, otherwise fair; and, 1700, rev. five strings, six billets, 5.64g, 6h, scuffed and darkly patinated, waterworn and granular, fair; another, five strings to harp, seven billets, 5.97g, 5h (Bull 1150; ESC 1121; Spink 3516), rubbed and toned, very fine; lastly, 1701, 'Plumes', seven strings to harp, eight billets, 5.80g, 5h (Bull 1157 [R2]; ESC 1125; Spink 3517), rubbed, the portrait flat, otherwise lightly toned, good / fine, rare (7)
