James II (1685-1688), Crowns (2), 1687, second laureate and draped bust left, rev. crowned shields cruciform, six strings to harp, 28.97g, 6h (Spink 3407), from a ring mount with the edge smoothed completely flat; a heavy scratch in second quarter of reverse, otherwise darkly toned, struck details about fine; also, 1688 over 7 QVARTO, similar, rev. eight strings to harp, lettered edge upwards, 28.60g, 6h (Bull 747; ESC 81; Spink 3407), scratched and rubbed, mediocre to about good (2)
