Charles I (1625-1649), Tower, Small Silver (6), including: Group A, Type 1, Halfgroat, 1625-1626, 0.91g, 6h, m.m. lis (Brooker 658; North 2248; Spink 2822), two attempted piercings, otherwise full, about very fine; also, Pennies (5), all very poor, one chipped, another pierced, largely illegible (Spink 2837ff); additionally, Civil War Issues, Royalist Oxford (2), 'Declaration', Halfcrown, 1643, 14.23g, 12h, m.m. pellet on obverse only (Brooker -; North 2415; Spink 2955), heavily rubbed with honest tone, mediocre to fair; also, 'Declaration', Threepence, 1644, 'Rawlin's Aberystwyth die, 1.26g, 3h, m.m. lis, (Morr B-4; Brooker 962; North 2472; Spink 2994), large piercing, otherwise honest cabinet tone, fair to almost very fine for strike, scarce; lastly, Royalist York, Threepence, Type 1, 1.15g, 9h, m.m. lion (North 2323; Spink 2877); creased and flattened, some areas of flatness, yet toned, fair; and, Scotch 20-Pence, creased, toned, poor; this jolly assemblage of less frequently encountered Stuart issues from the height of the Civil War tumult (10)
