James I (1603-1625), First Coinage, Shillings, Tower (6), 1603-1604, first bust with square cut beard right, rev. square-topped shield, 4.82g, 8h, m.m thistle (North 2072; Spink 2645), rubbed and darkly patinated, fine, scarce; also, second bust, 1603-1604, m.m thistle (2), 4.76g, 3h; 5.65g, 10h; also, 1604-1605, m.m. lis (3), 5.44g, 6h; 5.72g, 7h; 5.82g, 2h (North 2073; Spink 2646), some clipped and the portraits largely flat, traces of graffiti in fields, variable tone, good to almost fine, one lightly cleaned (6)
