Arthur Ormond Lewis was born at Camberwell, London in 1886 the son of Florence Lewis (later Nugent). Working in a Tobacco Factory in East Dulwich prior to enlisting he joined 11th Battalion, London Regiment on 11 December 1916 and served with them until 3 April 1918. Transferring to the Royal Engineers with 336 Road Construction Company Lewis served until 22 November 1918 when he was taken by 14th Field Ambulance to No. 4 Casualty Clearing Station with Pyrexia. He was transferred to the Reserve on 11 October 1919; sold together with census data, service records and casualty roll.
