Francis Lloyd Younghusband was born at March, Ontario on 29 July 1892, the son of Christina Younghusband of Westboro, Ontario. Working as a Locomotive Fireman prior to enlisting on 23 December 1914 at Winnipeg with the 32nd Battalion. Younghusband entered the war in France on 3 May 1915 and was promoted Corporal on 26 February 1916, further promoted Sergeant on 3 August 1916. He was killed in action at the Battle of the Somme on 26 September 1916 and is commemorated upon the Vimy Memorial; sold together with copied service records and casualty lists.
