Daniel Farr was born at Greenock in 1887 and was a pre-War regular. He served in France from 10 August 1914 but was discharged at Stirling Castle (KR XVI) on 30 March 1915, the result of Bright's disease. His condition was made worse due to exposure to the cold whilst in the trenches and upon his discharge he had some 10 years 39 days service to his name.
