Victory Medal 1914-19 (6507 Sjt. W. Smith. Bedf. R.), good very fine

W. Smith was born in Sandon, Hertfordshire and served in France from 8 November 1914, being wounded at the Battle of Neuve Chapelle on 10 March 1915. Returned to the Western Front he was killed in action on 14 March 1916 and is buried in the Cerisy-Gailly Military Cemetery, France.
