British War Medal 1914-20 (Lieut. R. I. M. Davidson.), good very fine

Ralph Ivan Meynell Davidson, of the 1st Battalion Manchester Regiment, son of Colonel D.C. Davidson, died of wounds received in France on 24 November 1914; he is buried at Pont-Du-Hem Military Cemetery, La Gorgue, with his headstone inscription reading: "Let Light Perpetual Shine Upon Him May He Rest In Peace". His medals were claimed by a brother, and he is additionally entitled to a 1914 Star and Allied Victory Medal.
