India General Service 1908-35, 1 clasp, North West Frontier 1930-31 (543498 Tpr. F. J. Tomlin. 15-19 H.), very fine

Frederick James Tomlin was born at Pontefract, Yorkshire in 1904. Attesting with the 13th/18th Hussars on 6 March 1924 before transferring to the 15th/19th Hussars on 5 December 1925. Serving with this unit in India Tomlin transferred to the Army Reserve on 23 April 1931 following his involvement in the 1930-31 North West Frontier Expedition. He re-enlisted with the Royal Armoured Corps on 19 June 1941; sold together with copied medal rolls and re-enlistment details.
