National Rifle Association, bronze prize Medal, the rim engraved '1907 Sergt. J. Coverley 6th R.W.F.', good very fine, in its fitted Elkington & Co., case of issue
John Coverley was born in 1882 at Dwygyfylchi and was educated at the Llandudno County School. In 23 May 1902 he went up to the School of Musketry, Hythe for one month and joined the 6th Battalion on 1 April 1908. Awarded the T.F.E.M. on October 1910, he served in the Great War, being wounded - by a gunshot wound to the right thigh - on 26 March 1917 and thence commissioned 2nd Lieutenant serving with Egyptian Labour Corps.
