'The King has been graciously pleased to approve of the award of the Meritorious Service Medal to the undermentioned, on the recommendation of the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, for valuable services rendered in connection with Military Operations in Mesopotamia and N.W. Persia. To be dated 20th September 1920.'
