(x) Three: Staff Sergeant D. G. Taylor, 29 Commando Regiment, Royal Artillery, who went into action as part of 8 (Alma) 'Black Eight' Battery, in support of the attack on Goose Green on 28-29 March 1982

David George Taylor was born on 23 March 1958 and enlisted on 20 October 1975. Having seen service in Northern Ireland as a Gunner Taylor was promoted Bombardier and went into action in the Falklands with 8 (Alma) Commando Battery, 29 Commando Regiment. This unit, nicknamed 'Black Eight' in particular was notable for its work in supporting the attack on Goose Green, 28-29 May 1982. Later that year- while still with 8 Battery- he was awarded 'The Rammer' award having won the Best Gun Competition at Otterburn firing camp in October 1892.

Seeing further service, Taylor was deployed as part of Operation Provide comfort in the wake of the Gulf War being deployed on 6 May 1991. Having transferred to 23 Commando Battery he was discharged on 1 October 1993; sold together with original service records, a copy of Commando Gunner 1982 as well as Operation Provide Comfort 1991 badge and Royal Marines 20km Biathlon shoulder patch along with corresponding certificates for these two awards.
