Pair: Leading Aircraftwoman D. W. Hall (nee Dumas), Woman's Auxiliary Air Force, who served as a Balloon Operator

Defence and British War Medals, unnamed as issued, with named card box of issue, minor contact marks, very fine (2)

Dorris Winnifred Dumas was born on 5 August 1914 and enlisted in December 1941, as a Balloon Operator and later Under Training Clerk (General Duties) with the rank of Leading Aircraftwoman. Her report on release states:

‘This airwoman has proved a satisfactory worker at all times and has shown good administrative abilities she is strongly recommended to return to her previous trade of dressmaking’

She later married J.W. Hall; sold together with the recipients Royal Air Force Service and Release Book, medal award slip and photograph.
