James Treacy joined the Royal Warwickshire Regiment at the Tower of London on 6 January 1891. His name appears twice in the Regimental Defaulter Book: once whilst in Malta for 'Improper Conduct in the Ranks' and once in Alexandria for 'Striking his Superior Officer', but was later noted as 'a good side drummer' and his conduct and character as 'Latterly good'; sold together with copied Attestation papers.
