India General Service 1895-1908, 3 clasps, Punjab Frontier 1897-97, Samana 1897, Tirah 1897-98 (Subdr Bula Ram 2nd Punjab Infy), unit number officially corrected, contact marks, edge wear, nearly very fine

Bala Ram enlisted on 11 August 1877, seeing action in the second Afghan War (medal with clasp) and later on the North West Frontier during both first and second Miranzai expeditions in 1891 (Medal with clasp). Promoted Jemedar on 1 February 1892 and then further advanced Subedar on 1 March 1894, later that same year he participated in the Waziristan expedition 1894-95 (clasp). Ram again saw fighting at the Action of the Ublan Pass on 27 August 1897 and later that year Operations on the Samana and in the Kurram Vally from August through September as well as the Relief of Gulistan (Medal with 2 clasps). His final expedition was the Tirah Campaign 1897-98 in the Bara Valley between 7-14 December 1897 (Clasp); sold together with typed research.
