Efficiency Medal, G.VI.R., Territorial (2580407 Dvr. F. G. Preston. R. Sigs.), contact marks, nearly very fine

Franc G. Preston served with the Admin Section of 3rd Indian Corps of Signals. He was taken prisoner during the fall of Singapore on 15 February 1942 and sent first to Thailand and later Japan in November 1944. Held in the Hiroshima area with the prisoner number 40704 Preston was liberated on 2 September 1945.
