M.B.E. London Gazette 1 January 1945.
Michael Edward English enlisted in the Royal Artillery in August 1924 before being transferred to the Indian Army Corps of Clerks. During the Second World War he was commissioned and awarded the M.B.E., rising to become a Captain before retiring home. He died at Preston on 28 July 1976.
