Paul Christopher Jones was born in Essex on 4 July 1883 and before the outbreak of the Great War was working as an Engineer with the East London Engineering Company, South Africa, 1913-15. He served with the 5th South African Infantry and was commissioned into the Royal Air Force on 30 November 1918, serving at the Ministry of Munitions (DAP) from 29 December 1918-9 March 1919. He died at Braintree, Essex, in 1975; sold together with copied service record.
