Herbert Bernard Joseph Morgan was born at Camberwell, London in 1870. Enlisting with the Royal Engineers on 29 August 1889 he was posted to South Africa with 38th Company (Field), Royal Engineers. Having been discharged he emigrated to America on 11 June 1907 with his wife and settled in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; sold together with copied medal rolls and travel information.
