1914-15 Star (S-1053 Pte A. Lalande. Rif: Brig:), very fine

Archibald Louis Lalande was born at Barry, Glamorgan in July 1895, the son of Wilfred and Elizabeth Lalande of 112 Barry Road, Barry. Prior to enlisting at Barry on 3 September 1914 Lalande worked as a market gardener, he served in France from 21 July 1915. Lalande died of wounds received in the trenches near Laventie on 18 September 1915. He is buried in the Estaires Communal Cemetery and upon the Cadoxton Church and Barry Memorials; sold together with a typed biographical note.
