(x) Canada General Service 1866-70, 1 clasp, Fenian Raid 1866 (1564 Cpl: J. F. Webster. 2/17 Leic: R.), engraved naming, traces of lacquer, very fine

John F. Webster was born at Philipstown, County Offaly and joined the 17th (Leicestershire) Regiment at Limerick on 26 June 1864. He served with the 2nd Battalion in Canada in 1866 and his Medal was sent to England 'to be engraved' and issued to him at 18 Wilton Place, Marmion Road, Southsea in December 1899.
