(g) The St. Albans Collection of English Gold Coins | NGC MS63 | Victoria (1837-1901), 'Jubilee' Sovereign, 1891, London, 'Short Tail' Variety, 'Jubilee' bust left, J.E.B. in relief on truncation, rev. St George and Dragon, horse with short tail, edge milled, 7.99g, 12h (Marsh 129; MCE 551; Spink 3866B), a softer striking from aged died, nevertheless frosty and fully lustrous, practically FDC, the variety extremely rare and this presumably amongst the finest known, with NGC 'St Albans' Certification, graded MS63 (#6295553-053)

An example graded PCGS MS61 appeared in London in July 2021 and sold for £2,100. That example was quite generously graded given the third-party graders contentedness to overlook the heavy bagmarks before the Queen's visage. The freshness and problem-free nature of the present example is reflected in the exalted grade
