M Roberts, by private treaty, September 2011 - [MG-0240] - £2,450
Künker 186, 17 March 2011, lot 7703 - "sehr schönvorzüglich" - £1,800

This is an exceedingly unusual obverse die for the date with not only the die-sinker's overpunch testified in the regnal name, but also the tie of her diadem interracting with the R of GRATIA when usually there is space between. The only other occasion on which the portrait so flagrantly interacts with the surrounding legends are on the Two-Guinea issues of 1738 under George II.
