King George III
1814 (20 December) Autograph letter signed by John Bedingfield, who protected King George III from an attack by a mob while on the road from St James's to Buckingham Palace. This, unrelated to the incident, is written by Bedingfield as Navy Pay Officer, Inspector of Seaman's Wills. An uncommon autograph endorsed on the reverse - "The man who saved the King!".
