1855 (19 Dec.) an envelope to Baden "post restante" bearing 1847-54 Embossed 1/- green, die 2 (good margins, just touching at foot), 6d. dull lilac (close to enormous margins) and 1855-57 4d. carmine on blued paper (Small Garter), tied by Windsor duplex, marked "Registered" in crayon with an array of transit marks including the small London crown/"registered" in pale red, "PD" in oval, French "chargé" and other transit datestamps on the reverse including Strasbourg. A few slight age marks, an attractive cover. Photo

Pays 1/4d. double rate (up to 1oz.) plus 6d. registration. There are other covers from this correspondence which were sent via Belgium
