Plate 98, RB on 1851 (4 Jan.) mourning envelope to Manchester, the adhesive is centred low and well tied by a very fine strike of "285" numeral of Exeter. The reverse with a superb strike of "Lympstone/Penny Post", faint Exeter despatch overstruck by Manchester arrival (6.1). A neat and attractive envelope; the stamp is matched with the normal imperforate 1d. Cat. £2200+. Photo
