The Remarkable "Ellerby Area" Hoard of English Gold Coins (1610-1727) | NGC AU58 | George I (1714-1727), Guinea, 1723, fourth laureate head right, nose to I in HIB, Roman Is in legends, rev. crowned shields cruciform, seven strings to harp, six hearts to Hanoverian shield, edge obliquely milled, 8.40g [129.6grns], 5h (PAS: YORYM-18E848 = BM 2019 T668/251 this coin; MCE 257; Farey 670; EGC 519 [R2]; Spink 3631), some faint surface marks, otherwise with attractive mint flaring, a really pleasingly good very fine, with NGC 'Ellerby' Certification, graded AU58 (#6380983-251)
