The Remarkable "Ellerby Area" Hoard of English Gold Coins (1610-1727) | NGC XF45 | George I (1714-1727), Guinea, 1723, fourth laureate head right, nose to I in HIB, Roman Is in legends, rev. crowned shields cruciform, seven strings to harp, six hearts to Hanoverian shield, edge obliquely milled, 8.36g [129.0grns], 5h (PAS: YORYM-18E848 = BM 2019 T668/248 this coin; MCE 257; Farey 670; EGC 519 [R2]; Spink 3631), a small flaw to obverse edge at 10 o'clock, otherwise flecked but lustrous, very fine, the reverse pleasingly so, with NGC 'Ellerby' Certification, graded XF45 (#6380983-248)
